Started his “Left-handed” business 30 years ago, due to his youngest son showing strong signs of being left-handed.  Alongside his wife, Heather, they have co-authored the book “So You Think They’re Left Handed?” as well as the scheme “Left Hand Writing Skills”. Australia	Steve McGuirk (Left-handed) Founder: Lefty’s Left Handed Products and Resource Centre Founder Member: Left-in.org	Initial teacher training and classroom applications for left-handedness.	Steve and his wife, Annmaree, started their online business after having difficulty finding a can opener for their youngest daughter in Sydney.  But after opening their online retail business in April 2003, but as there was little information and even less support for left-handers, they created Lefty’s Resource Centre to provide free general information to help parents and teachers as well as encouraging young lefties that Being Left Is Alright.  They have grown to become Australia’s only resource and support service for left-handers as well as being the only specialty retailer of left-handed products in Australia.
South Africa	Tracy van der Merwe (Right-handed) Founder: Left-hand Learning Founder-Member: Left-in.org	A day in the life of a left-hander-a mom’s perspective	A nurse, midwife and educator by profession, in 2010, Tracy took over the company Left-hand Learning from Denise Pape, inspired by her left-handed son. She supports and educates parents, teachers, and caregivers about the developmental and practical needs of the left-hander. She focuses on empowering families and schools to make small, meaningful changes that support left-handed learners in both academic and home environments.  She is also one of the founding members of LEFT-IN, a collaborative international project for left-handed students.
Nigeria	Sunday Onyenuwe (Ambidextrous) President: African Left-Handers Confederation Initiative (ALCI)	Understanding the Foundations for Left-handers Communities	He is a physiotherapist and clinician with a passion for inclusive education and advocacy. He is the Co-Convenor of the 2023 Inaugural Left-Handers International Conference and Festival (virtual), co-hosted by Nigeria and South Africa. As President of ALCI, a pan-African non-profit, he leads efforts to promote awareness, inclusion, and empowerment for left-handed individuals across Africa. A member of LEFT-IN, he combines clinical excellence with social impact, championing neurodiversity, equity in education, and forward-thinking health and human development initiatives across Africa.
Brazil	Emanuella Correia (Right-handed) Founder: Canhotopia Founder-Member: Left-in.org	Celebrating Left-handedness: How to show the blessings to a young Leftie	She is a researcher, consultant and trainer focusing on left-hand education. In 2016 she founded Canhotopia, a Brazilian organization aiming at helping teachers and parents to guide left-handed children at school and at home. Since 2018, she has been running workshops for teachers and parents. She is also the author of the       e-book “Como ajudar seu filho canhoto a fazer o dever de casa sem se sujar” (Portuguese for “How to help your left-handed child to have a smudge-free homework.
India	Hitesh Jhala (Left-handed) Gujarat State Representative – Association of Left-handers, India	Challenges for Left-Handers in Uniformed Forces Worldwide.	Hitesh is a Police Sub-Inspector in Gujarat State Police Department in India. He is a Cyber Cop. He has the first hand experiences of being a left-hander, both as a civilian as well as being a part of a uniformed force. As an active member of the Association of Left-handers, India for over two decades, he has been regularly working in Gujarat for the welfare of Left-handers by creating awareness, conducting seminars and forming groups of left-handers.
India	Bipinchandra Chaugule (Left-handed) Co-founder & President: Association of Left-handers, India Member: Left-in.org	Left-handers: Coming together- experience and further needs.	He is an award-winning film and Television director by profession for over 40 years. He has directed over 600 educational TV programmes, a couple of wildlife films, several documentaries, and a variety of non-fiction TV stories for different TV channels and agencies across Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia.  As a co-founder of the ‘Association’, he has been championing for the welfare of left-handers and creating awareness about handedness and left-handedness in particular among parents, teachers, educationists and the society at large for over 34 years. Till date, he has personally interacted with over 15 thousand left-handers, hundreds of teachers and people from different walks of life. He regularly writes articles in English, Marathi and Hindi about left-handedness in various periodicals. He is invited for interviews on Television and Online media.
India	Dr. Ashutosh Pradhan (Left-handed) Mumbai Representative Association of Left-handers, India	Left-handedness – WEIM Analysis (Will, Emotions, Intellect, Memory – Analysis of Emotional Development)	A reputed Homeopath by profession for over three decades, Dr. Ashutosh has undergone clinical training in both Homeopathy and Allopathy. He has also been teaching Homeopathy in reputed institutions. He is the founder/owner of many companies working in the field of health and life sciences. Dr. Pradhan has been an active member and Mumbai representative of the Association of Left-handers for many decades. He has also developed and looks after the Association website.
India/Oman	Dr. Deepali Jaju (Left-handed) Founder Member and Trustee: Association of Left-handers, India	Origin of handedness- an enigma	Dr. Deepali Jaju is a Senior Specialist (Clinical Physiology), at the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Muscat, Oman. A recipient of the Young Investigators Award by the International Union of Physiological Sciences and a Visiting Fellowship by Indian National Science Academy (Topic – comparison of respiratory sensations induced by J receptor stimulation with lobeline in left handers and right handers.) Her research interests include Autonomic Functions; Hemodynamics; Heart Rate Variability; Cardiopulmonary Exercise Stress-test; Syncope and Sleep disorders. She has been one of the founder members and a trustee of the Association of Left-handers, India and has been actively working for its objectives.
South Africa	Matlhogonolo Maboe (Left-handed) Chairperson: African Left-handers Foundation & African Left-handers Confederation Initiative	She will be a moderator for some of the sessions in the conference.	Ms Maboe is the Principal of a Private College and the Chief Operating Officer of a group of companies.  Her employment and management experience ranges from academic, entrepreneurship to government spheres. She received an Honorary Doctorate in Community Development from UNISA. She is also a Psychologist, Trainer/Facilitator and a certified Life Coach. She is the Chairperson of African Left-handers Foundation (ALHF) in South Africa and the Chairperson of African Left-handers Confederation Initiative, African Continent, as well as a moderator for South Africa, African Continent and International programmes.
India	Dr. Prashant Khankhoje (Left-handed) Active Member: Association of Left-handers, India	He will be a moderator for some of the sessions in the conference.	Dr. Khankhoje is an Engineer and a doctorate in Renewable Energy, who is an internationally acclaimed expert in his field. A TedEx speaker, a Rotarian, Prashant wears many hats like a Success Mentor, Growth Catalyst, Motivational Speaker, Life & Business Transformation Coach, Sustainability Advisor and a Corporate Trainer. With a rich experience of almost 4 decades in the corporate world, he had been at many top positions in his long career. He has several prestigious awards from various fields, to his credit. As an active member of the Association of Left-handers, India, he is instrumental in creating awareness about left-handedness in the society.
India	Mr. Uday Pendse (Left-handed) Co-founder-Trustee: Association of Left-handers, India	Keynote address: Gut-Brain Axis and Left-handedness	An International Yoga consultant, therapist and Yoga Teacher for over four decades, he is the promoter of Restlessness to Restfulness – Yoga has the way. He has been imparting knowledge about Indian Yogic Science to a wide range of people in the society ranging from Defence Personnel, Scientists, Bureaucrats, top corporate Executives, Drug addicts, Patients of diseases like epilepsy to students and common people. He is also involved in various interdisciplinary research projects related to Yoga and fields like management, medicine, Defence & health. As a co-founder of the Association of Left-handers, he has been involved in creating awareness about handedness among diverse groups.
India	Leena Bokil (Left-handed) Active Member and Trustee: Association of Left-handers, India	Designing Ambidextrous Gadgets – Present scenario and future opportunities	Leena is a post graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from Edinburgh University UK, and an expert in Space Technology.  She has been a teacher and researcher of Avionics for many years. A recipient of several prestigious awards, she is regularly invited as an expert in Astronomy, Space & Technology by various TV & Radio channels. She has a long experience of working in many government and private industries at important positions. She has mentored many students at the Int’nl Space University in France. She is trained at the Marshal Space Flight Center, NASA, Huntsville (USA). She has been instrumental in organising many programmes with pre-primary and primary schools as well as other organisations to impart knowledge about left-handedness, for decades.
